Fox Expands Into Saturday Prime-Time Baseball
Expanding into Saturday prime-time baseball, Fox Broadcasting Company will be airing three consecutive Saturday nights of regionalized Major League Baseball in May.
Fox has not broadcasted prime-time regular-season baseball since 2004 and last season had only two MLB Saturday nights. This year, Fox will alter its strategy by covering baseball match between Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees on 14 May, whereas the New York Mets v/s Yankees will be aired on 21 May. Unlike typically covering three games, Fox will bring Six Major League Baseball games to viewers on a single window, making 28 May the most eventful day for baseball fans.
Sports enthusiasts say that this will certainly bring back the days of Baseball Night in America on the Baseball Network.
