Baseball Player Jim Thome Being Wooed by The Rangers?
Baseball sources claim that The Rangers might be looking to pack a bit more punch in their offence. The baseball team is apparently interested in acquiring free-agent designated hitter Jim Thome.
The left-handed baseball hitter Thome enjoyed a grand year for Minnesota last season and would share the DH responsibility with Michael Young. While Young could be a part-time DH, Thome is chiefly a designated hitter.
However there are a few hurdles in the way of this baseball deal, money being the main point of consideration. While playing on a one-year bargain contract of $1.5 million last year, Thome hit 25 home runs and drove 59 runs in just 276 at-bats. Thome is looking for a raise, but finding a mutually acceptable number could be tough for the baseball team after signing Adrian Beltre to a 6 year $96 million deal.
