The leaked information on the sports blog, Deadspin.com, has caused much frustration for the Major League Baseball. The documents that were leaked online, enclosed detailed financial information dated in 2007 to 2009. This included net income earnings for players and post season revenue.

The information detailed five baseball teams in total including the Angels who confirmed the authenticity of the documents that were leaked. The 16 paged document, which has been removed off the website has had many in the Major League Baseball questioning how and who leaked the confidential information in the first place.

An investigation has been filed recently due to the increase of attention in media. Baseball teams that have been affected include Seattle Mariners, Pittsburgh Pirates, Tampa Bay Rays and Florida Marlins.
